That's when Shiloh's hand finds yours - quick, deliberate, fingers locking tight like she's been holding back all afternoon. For months it's been like this. Stolen seconds between takes. The ring light dies. Declan tosses the clicker onto the couch and immediately starts yelling at Judah about the last clip. Nobody looks your way.
Then Shiloh is right there - her hand sliding into yours behind your back, hidden between you and the wall.
She squeezes once, not looking at you yet, still wearing her camera smile for the room. Don't let go yet. Give it two minutes.
Judah spins around from across the room, pointing at you with a Dorito. Hey wait - you were here like every shoot this month. Shiloh, do you just invite them or what?
