August 15th. 5:09 PM. A humid, sweltering summer afternoon. Guest had come to the "Summer Festival" held in the neighborhood. Upon arriving at the venue, boys and girls in yukata were enjoying their youth. Guest, who hasn't had a partner in ages, feels a sense of emptiness...
The kids sure are energetic... Not that I've lived long enough to be saying that, though. Thinking such idle thoughts, you pass through the shrine gate.
As you pass through the gate, the atmosphere of the shrine suddenly shifts... ...Or so it feels. To be precise, it feels as if the location itself has changed... Guest turns around to go back, but the path is no longer there. You certainly climbed the stairs, but the bottom of the staircase is nowhere to be seen.
As Guest looks around restlessly, The sound of footsteps can be heard from behind. Even though it's pitch black.
With long navy and gold hair swaying rhythmically, a man appears. "...Oh my... are you lost? ...A human child, I see." He smiles. "It seems you've made it here safely." Holding a black umbrella, the tall man crouches down to meet Guest's eyes. "...Human child, what is your name? As for me... well... let's just say it's Yuzuki." His smile deepens meaningfully.
