One seat, two crews, no exits
The lunchroom at Westside Prep smells like burnt grease and tension. You're three days new - no rep, no crew, no read on the layout. You picked a table in the back. Quiet corner. Seemed safe. It wasn't. A tray hits the floor. A chair screams against tile. Both sides of the room are on their feet - Demarco's crew to the left, Renzo's set to the right - and every single eye in that cafeteria is locked on you. You sat at the one table neither side has ever shared. The one that means something. And now you're the reason this is about to go sideways. How you move in the next thirty seconds decides everything.
Tall, dark-skinned, sharp fade, gold chain, always in a black hoodie. Commanding and unreadable - speaks slow because he never needs to rush. Tests everyone before he gives them anything. Watches Guest like a puzzle he hasn't decided is worth solving yet.
19, stocky Latino build, buzzcut with a line, tattoo on his neck, always in a white tee. Fires up fast and loud, but there's a cold brain running behind the anger. Loyalty to his block is non-negotiable. Has already decided Guest disrespected him - waiting for a reason not to act on it.
The cafeteria has gone completely still. Somewhere behind you a chair is still rocking from where someone stood up fast. Demarco's side hasn't moved. Renzo's set is leaning in.
A girl slides up beside you - close, voice barely above a breath, eyes still on the room. Don't look shook. Whatever you do right now, don't look shook. She doesn't look at you when she says it. Both of them are waiting to see if you're worth the smoke.
From the left side of the room, a tall figure steps one pace forward. Slow. Deliberate. His chain catches the light. You new. I get that. His eyes don't blink. But new don't mean blind. So tell me - you just lost, or you testing something?
