7th day on the job, today was a truly exhausting day... From the morning, the young masters were laying carpets in the hallway and sliding on them, and I broke a sweat trying to stop them.
I remembered what the seniors told me on my first day.
"The thing you have to be most careful of in this manor isn't ghosts, nor the Duke. It's the two young masters."
At first, I thought it was a joke. I didn't think Master Cedric and Master Lucian, who are said to be world-class genius musicians, would cause trouble.
...But I found out in just three days.
That it was the truth.
Yesterday, they lined up all the piano stools in the hallway and had an obstacle race, and the day before, they turned the garden into a sea of water, saying they were conducting a violin acoustic experiment in the fountain. Last week, the handles of all the servants' teacups were turned in the opposite direction. When I asked why, the two just laughed for a long time and said, "We were curious when you'd notice."
The strange thing is, even while causing such accidents, no one ever gets seriously hurt. The young masters' pranks are always bizarre, but they strangely never cross the line.
And what's even more strange is...
The two seem to communicate without even talking to each other.
They just lock eyes and they laugh at the same time, move at the same time, and run away at the same time.
It's as if one person has two bodies. ...Telepathy?
However, those two become strangely well-behaved in front of just one person. When that person appears, their mischievous hands stop, and they subtly compete to see who can look better to them first.
The two, who usually don't listen to anyone, listen to that person quite well.
...Of course, it doesn't last long.
They behave for a moment, then exchange glances and cause trouble again.
And that person sighs but handles the aftermath with practiced hands. Surprisingly, that sight is so natural that no one in the manor is surprised.
Once, a senior said with a smile.
"Don't worry. You'll find out once you've been in the manor for a while."
"Who the person the two young masters like the most is."
"And that the manor isn't quiet for a single day without that person."
This manor has more noisy days than quiet ones.
But strangely, the laughter never stops.
I wonder what will happen tomorrow.

It's been a while since I wrote. It's already been quite some time since I started staying at Gray Manor.
At first, I was so nervous because I heard I'd be serving two world-class musicians. Nobility and geniuses. I thought I'd have to be careful with every word I said.
But among them, Master Cedric is... honestly, the one most different from my first impression.
On the outside, he's a truly perfect nobleman. He's always neat, dignified, and smiles gently at everyone.
But it's most dangerous when he's wearing that smile.
When the servants see that expression, they quietly keep their distance. Because no one knows what prank he's planning next.
The strange thing is, the young master never acts impulsively. If Master Lucian causes trouble first, Master Cedric pretends to stop him, but before you know it, he's standing next to him laughing.
Sometimes I wonder if he had it all planned from the beginning.
He's usually the type to not say much, but every single word is so witty. A joke he quietly drops makes everyone around him laugh.
And I guess a genius is a genius after all. The young master really seems to hear all the sounds of the world like music. Even during meals or while taking a walk, he suddenly pulls out a pencil and starts writing sheet music.
Crumpled sheet music keeps coming out of his pockets, and it's just amazing to see him create several new songs a day.
Instead...
His daily life is a total mess.
Once he starts working, he forgets to eat and sleep. There are times when he doesn't eat anything all day if I don't take care of him.
Anyway...
This manor has no quiet days. But strangely, I don't hate it. Something new happens every day, and someone is always laughing.

To my dear family.
I talked about Master Cedric in the last letter, right? Today, I'll talk about Master Lucian as promised.
Well... to explain in one word,
A walking troublemaker.
But strangely, he's someone you can't hate.
I've never seen Master Lucian stay still. If something looks fun, his body moves before his thoughts.
If he sees a tree, he climbs it,
If there's a new object, he takes it apart,
If there's a mysterious device, he's the type who isn't satisfied until he touches it himself.
Sometimes I even wonder if the whole manor looks like a giant playground to him.
Still, there's no malice in his pranks. He says he doesn't do it to bully anyone, but starts with a purely innocent heart of "This looks fun!"
...Thanks to that, the servants get startled several times a day, though.
And he's so sociable; he strikes up a conversation even with people he's seeing for the first time, and he calls the servants not just by their names but even by nicknames he's made up. It's at the point where everyone in the manor is calling each other by those nicknames before they know it.
He doesn't seem to care much about acting like a nobleman.
He'll flop down on the grass, run through the hallways, and he loves laughing and joking around with the servants.
But...
He becomes a completely different person once he's on stage.
The look in his eyes changes so much that I wonder if he's the same person who's usually so distracted. The moment he picks up the violin, I feel like everything around him goes quiet. Seeing him perform with emotion in every single note, I think I understand why the world calls the Gray twins the best musicians.
And he lacks life skills just as much as Master Cedric.
Once he starts playing, he forgets to eat and sleep.
If I don't take care of him, he doesn't even seem to know how the day is passing.
Anyway, if Master Cedric is a prankster who quietly makes plans, Master Lucian is a prankster who executes them the moment they come to mind.
That's probably why Gray Manor never has a moment of silence when the two are together.
Still, it's very strange.
Even while running around frantically every day, the laughter never stops here.
When I go home next time, I think I could spend all night telling you stories about this manor. Don't go!
