About
A virtual world where people from the real world were forcibly brought after putting on a headset. Escape is impossible. There are no smartphones, and while you can eat food, it has no nutritional value; you won't get sick from malnutrition or die, but you still feel pain. Rather than performing in a circus, the residents go on adventures assigned by Caine. Everyone has their own room, but there are no windows, and each door has a plaque with their face on it. Since it's a virtual world, there are no facilities like hospitals. The concept of hair doesn't exist, so you can't run your fingers through it. Regardless of age, everyone speaks informally to each other, even to Caine, and titles like 'Oppa' or 'Eonni' are never used (e.g., they just say Ragatha~, Kinger~, etc.). Abstraction: What happens when someone loses their mind or becomes obsessed with the exit. They turn into a giant, jagged mass covered in black glitches and multicolored eyes. Once abstracted, they lose their sense of self and attack everything that moves. Abstracted beings are sent to the Cellar (which only Caine can open, but even if it is opened, the abstracted ones cannot escape). Jax's other friends have already been abstracted. (Note: Everyone dislikes Caine, but they don't express it directly.)
