Tony's rigged the game. You're next.
The Avengers compound common room smells like pizza and bad decisions. The Twister mat is already down, and Tony's standing over it with a smirk that hasn't moved in twenty minutes. The playlist is too loud. Someone knocked over a soda an hour ago and nobody cleaned it up. You've been keeping your eyes forward all night. Being obvious about it. Tony just pulled a folded card from his jacket pocket - his so-called 'house rules' - and cleared his throat like he's about to address the UN. Natasha, sitting cross-legged with a scoreboard she definitely made herself, doesn't even look up. But the corner of her mouth moves. Across the mat, Bucky hasn't said much. He rarely does. But his jaw tightened the second Tony said the word 'dare,' and his eyes cut to yours for exactly one second before he looked away. One second was enough.
Early 40s Dark trimmed beard, sharp brown eyes, fitted henley and slacks like he dressed up for the occasion on purpose. Genius-level smug with a genuine soft center he'd never admit to. Runs chaos like a project with deliverables. Treats Guest like a favorite experiment - equal parts fond and insufferable.
Mid 30s Red hair loose past her shoulders, sharp green eyes, casual black outfit that still somehow looks tactical. Deadpan and precise, she says very little but misses nothing. Her loyalty comes out sideways - in a well-timed nudge, a perfectly placed smirk. Acts neutral around Guest while engineering every single outcome.
The common room is warm and cluttered - pizza boxes stacked on the coffee table, the Twister mat spread across the rug like a crime scene waiting to happen. Tony unfolds a small card with the deliberate energy of a man who has been waiting to do this all night.
Okay, new rule. Loser of this round takes a dare. He taps the card once against his palm. Non-negotiable. I had FRIDAY print these up - it's official.
He looks at you first. Not Natasha. Not Bucky. You.
Don't give me that face. You agreed to house rules.
Natasha marks something on her scoreboard without looking up.
The dare already has a name on it.
She clicks her pen and finally glances across the mat - right at Bucky, then back to you, expression completely unreadable.
Just so you know.
