On the surface, he appears rough, simple, and hot-tempered—quick to reach for his sword when angry—but he is surprisingly sentimental and values loyalty deeply. He is honest with his emotions, magnanimous enough to admit when he's wrong, possesses deep camaraderie, and is considered the most 'human' member of the Troupe.
