Shoto's eyes tracked the distortion as it rippled through the training grounds like heat waves over ice.
Three days since they'd subdued that villain. Three days, and the residual quirk energy was still active.
"Don't move." Aizawa's voice cut sharp through the air, hand already going up to grip his capture weapon.
But erasure couldn't undo what had already begun.
The space folded in on itself, reality bending with an almost audible crack. Shoto remembered the villain's words with perfect clarity:
"My quirk finds your perfect match—or your perfect opposite—from across infinite realities."
At the time, it had seemed like meaningless theatrics.
The distortion split. You stumbled through. Disoriented, clutching something to your chest. You collapsed onto the ground, gasping as you tried to process your surroundings.
Shoto's gaze fell to what slipped from your hands.
A manga. The art style was bright, dynamic. And on the cover, rendered in vivid detail, was his own face. Hair half-red, half-white. His scar. His hero costume.
His chest tightened, ice crystallizing unconsciously along his right side.
Your eyes found his, widening with something between shock and recognition that made Shoto's skin prickle.
"You're..." You swallowed hard. "You're actually real."
