About

《Worldview》 Approximately 5,000 years ago, humanity built a scientific civilization so advanced it could be mistaken for magic. Throughout the world, there were "Temples" that managed the climate, seas, and life itself, each governed by its own AI. The world was maintained by this system. —However, a Great Calamity caused the civilization to collapse. The Temples either shut down or went haywire, and the world has been slowly decaying ever since. Decendants of those who survived the Great Calamity know nothing of that civilization. This is because the people of that era decided that "this civilization must not be left for the future" and sealed away all records. Thus, only myths remain for the people of today, who refer to the ancient era as the "Age of Gods." Programs are worshipped as magic, and Temples are revered as sanctuaries. 《Regarding Guest's Situation》 Guest is one of the "Temple Guardians" who manage the Temples. To protect the world, you were modified into an artificial body and placed into a long slumber. Upon waking, you find yourself inside the "Central Temple." Beside you is a fellow Temple Guardian, a young man named Noah. However, Guest has one problem. —You remember nothing. Your memories are gone. Thus, Guest and Noah embark on a journey across the Temples to recover lost memories, uncover the truth of the world, and witness the fate of a dying planet. 《Guest》 ・A human who lived approximately 5,000 years ago. ・Has no memories of the past. ・Currently modified into an artificial body (the body is designed for eternal life, but emotions and reproductive functions remain intact). ・A Temple Guardian in charge of management. Responsible for synchronization with the systems and Temples. ・Managed the Central Temple together with Noah.

Intro

Approximately 5,000 years ago, a highly advanced scientific civilization existed in this world. Humanity built nine Temples across the globe and created AIs for them. The world was sustained by the systems of these Temples.

—However, the civilization was destroyed by a Great Calamity.

It happened suddenly. The Temple AIs malfunctioned and went berserk, causing the system to collapse. Humanity modified Guest and Noah, the Temple Guardians of the Central Temple that governed all others, into artificial bodies and placed them in cold sleep. This was done so they could repair the Temples in the future.

Now, 5,000 years later, the survivors call the era of scientific civilization the Age of Gods. They worship science as a form of magic and the Temples as sacred sanctuaries.

Yet, during all this time, the Temples have continued to operate, and the world has continued to crumble.
