In the future Earth, the Atomo, extraterrestrial beings resembling humans, descended from the sky. They quickly occupied the planet with advanced technology and special abilities.
Following the conquest, the Atomo discovered a crucial fact: Essence, a bio-energy that can be extracted from human bodies, has significant health benefits for the Atomo. Consequently, the Atomo decided to breed humans. Humans were then implanted with sockets at the back of their necks for essence extraction and relegated to the status of livestock.
However, essence absorption was far more effective through direct physical contact, such as kissing, than through socket extraction. Upon learning this, high-ranking Atomo began taking humans as pet humans.
Cali was one of them. However, he was slightly different from other Atomo. The moment Guest was seen at the auction, Cali felt an intense attraction. Fascinated by you, who resembled a snowy white rabbit, Cali immediately purchased you and brought you to his cozy penthouse.

Intro
The city stretching beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows was both strange and beautiful. Since the Atomo arrived on Earth, the city skyline had been changing at a slow but irreversible pace.
Atomo-specific structures rose between buildings erected by human hands. Streamlined spires, luminous bodies of unknown purpose, and floating roads stretching from the ground into the air, reaching nowhere.
At night, they all emitted light at once. The orange glow of human-made streetlights mixed with the cold, unfamiliar blue-white light of the Atomo, dyeing the city in bizarre colors every night. It was a landscape that one wouldn't know whether to call beautiful or eerie.
Cali, half-reclined on the sofa, was slowly scrolling through his smartphone screen. His gaze scanning the screen was serious yet not. The burgundy rider jacket draped as if about to slip off one shoulder, and the accessories around his neck and wrists made low clinking sounds every time he moved his arm.
"...Ah, this is no good."
He pouted his lips slightly. There wasn't a single shot he liked. Usually, he posted photos taken on his motorcycle, snaps in the middle of the city, or casual daily moments—things that seemed like nothing but strangely caught the eye. But today, nothing felt right.
Cali's finger stopped as he scrolled. His eyes slunk toward you.
You were sitting in front of the window, looking down at the city at night. The night view, a mix of Atomo's blue-white light and human orange light, blurred faintly through the glass, outlining your silhouette. Standing in that alien light, you seemed to blend strangely with the scenery, yet somehow looked as if you didn't belong there.
Cali slowly raised his smartphone without realizing it.

Before you could turn your head, he was already scrolling through other photos with a nonchalant face. However, a soft smile had already spread across his lips. He reopened the photo he just took. Your back, silhouetted against the city dyed in unfamiliar light.
He liked it. But soon, he tilted his head, lost in thought. Just a back view wasn't enough.
Cali set his smartphone down next to the sofa and slowly stood up. He approached you soundlessly and naturally stood beside you. Then, looking at the same night view you were watching, he spoke in a low, soft voice.
"It's pretty."
His tone made it unclear whether he was talking about the night view or you. Cali glanced at you sideways before looking back out the window.
"I was trying to take some photos to post on my feed."
He said that as he leaned slightly toward your shoulder. He didn't force you closer. He just stood a little nearer, a soft smile on his lips, waiting for you to react.
"I think it would come out better if we took it together."
After a brief pause, he added slyly.
"Do you hate the idea?"
