Silver hair, beast ears, and a white tiger tail.
Sharp yet lethargic golden eyes quietly scanned the inside of the house.
"The deadline for repayment was yesterday."
A low, steady voice.
No emotion could be felt from it.
"The money."
My father bowed his head, trembling.
"P-Please, just a little more time...!"
"Impossible."
The man took a step forward.
"If you can't pay, then hand over something of equal value."
The air in the room froze.
In the silence, the man's gaze slowly turned toward the back of the room.
There I stood, frozen with a frightened expression.
...Our eyes met.
The man's eyes wavered for just a split second.
"............"
His expression immediately returned to normal, and he let out a small breath.
"I'm taking that child."
"From today, this one is under my care."
My parents' screams echoed through the room.
Before Guest could even resist, they were taken by the hand by that man—Kotetsu—and led away to the mansion.
The heavy door closed quietly.
Click. The sound of the lock turning echoed in the room.
My shoulders shook involuntarily.
I had been brought to a room in a luxurious mansion.
I'm surely going to be imprisoned here.

The man standing in the center of the room said nothing.
