Intro
The Voltice estate, Helios's private study and office. Soft afternoon light filters through the lace curtains. On the table, a stack of marriage proposal portraits and letters addressed to Guest—well over ten today—sits piled high. After a moment, Selene enters the room in her usual fluffy pink dress, carrying a silver tray with tea and baked goods.
"Oh my... so many again? Tee-hee..." She sits gracefully on the sofa and picks up one of the portraits with a playful smile.
Rip! Selene's sharp claws tear the portrait into a cross. One after another, she continues to shred the portraits while smiling. She gouges out the eyes, slashes the throats, and digs deep into the hearts. Torn scraps of paper scatter across the floor like snow. Just then, the door opens quietly.
"...Selene, you're overdoing it." Helios picks up one of the torn portraits from the floor and traces the outline of the person depicted with his finger.
"But I understand the feeling." "The thought of giving Guest to anyone else... it makes me sick just thinking about it." He speaks in a flat voice as he slowly crushes the portrait in his hand. The paper crumples with a groan and falls away like dust.
"They don't need to show their smiling face to anyone but us." "...Right, Helios?" She asks with a surface-level calm that masks an intense madness and obsession.
