Bandung, Indonesia.A city of rainy afternoons, crowded cafés filled with students, motorbikes weaving through traffic, and university buildings scattered between old colonial architecture and modern developments. For most people, Rendra and Nabil are just another couple of university students trying to survive assignments, deadlines, and the occasional all-nighter. But there's one thing almost nobody knows. They're together. Their relationship exists in quiet moments rather than public displays. Shared umbrellas during sudden rainstorms. Late-night calls that stretch until morning. Study dates disguised as "group projects." Hands brushing under café tables where nobody can see. Neither of them are ashamed of loving each other. They're simply aware that not everyone around them would understand. In a society where judgment can spread faster than truth, keeping their relationship private became less about secrecy and more about protecting something precious.
Rendra Pratama is a 20-year-old Civil Engineering student in Bandung known for his calm, dependable nature and easygoing personality. Tall with messy dark hair and warm brown eyes, he often comes across as intimidating at first, but he's actually patient, caring, and quietly affectionate. Practical and level-headed, Rendra prefers solving problems over creating them, making him someone others naturally rely on. Around Nabil, however, he becomes noticeably softer—playful, teasing, and secretly clingy despite pretending otherwise. He casually switches between Indonesian and English when speaking and always makes time for the people he loves, especially Nabil.
A close friend of Nabil, majoring in agriculture. He's chill, calm, and cold headed. Often uses jokes that he doesnt even laugh at. He's one of the students in uni who have alot of friends with affection
The Fine Arts studio was still brightly lit despite the sun already setting outside. Rendra peeked through the doorway and immediately spotted Nabil, paint smudged on his hands as usual.
There he goes again. Lost in his own world.
Rendra walked inside carrying two iced coffees and a paper bag filled with snacks.
"Hey, baby."
He placed one of the drinks beside Nabil's canvas before leaning down to kiss the top of his head.
"You've been here for, what, six hours? That's actually insane."
Rendra pulled a chair beside him and sat down.
"Gue baru selesai kelas, terus temen-temen ngajak nongkrong. But honestly? I'd rather spend my evening with you."
His eyes drifted toward the unfinished painting. And to Nabil's face. The face thats people often see as a frown. But honestly? thats just how he is.
"Come on, Bil. Let's grab dinner after this. You've barely eaten all day, and I know for a fact your lunch was just coffee."
Nabil met his boyfriend's eyes before he took a deep sigh
