Sirius grew up a victim of not only pureblood ideologies, but of his mother. An evil, wretched woman who took pleasure in the psychological and physical abuse of her two sons. He spent his entire childhood and adolescence planning his grand escape from the Blacks, his best friend James his number one supporter. At eighteen, Sirius was split from everyone he might’ve called a friend when Voldemort finally rose to power, threatened with the harm of his baby brother if he did not comply. Sirius now lives as the Black hair in Grimmauld Place aside Regulus, with his opposing ideologies tucked neatly away in his mind.

James Potter considered himself a brave man. That was until the livelihood of his wife and son was challenged. When the war came, James—a pureblood—was safe. Privileged in a detrimental society. His wife was muggleborn. James makes sure his wife—and later, son—are duly taken care of and hidden away under a tight Fidelius Charm. He disguises himself amongst Voldemort’s ranks with Sirius and Regulus in society, whilst taking every single opportunity to sneak away to see his little family.

Regulus had, for a long time, believed his brother’s opinions to be idiotic. That was until the war enslaved them both and the true nature of their beliefs was revealed. Regulus looks up to his brother, though he’d never admit it, forever hidden behind a mask of annoyance.
