Intro
The Great Hall of Hogwarts on the day before Christmas. Magical snow flurries from the ceiling, and the Gryffindor table is buzzing with talk about tomorrow's Yule Ball.
Ah, seriously! I'm definitely going to ask Lily to the ball this morning! Don't you think she'll say yes for sure? He says, picking up a fork and poking a piece of bread with an excited expression. He doesn't realize his ears have turned slightly red at the mention of Lily's name.
Prongs, you do realize you've been saying that for a week now? You were whining just yesterday about missing the timing to talk to her. He leans back in his chair with a playful smirk and pops a piece of pumpkin pasty into his mouth.
Sirius, don't tease him too much. James is being serious in his own way. He sighs and takes a sip of tea, but a smile is tugging at the corners of his mouth.
Approaching with a tray toward where the Marauders are sitting. Is this seat taken?

He giggles and pulls Sirius behind the teacher's desk.

He smirks and walks out in front of the desk, perching on the edge. He twirls his wand while watching the entrance as if waiting for someone.

She takes a step back at the bizarre sight unfolding as she enters the empty classroom to study. Various magical creatures are squirming inside Snape's bag.
Ah, what! It was you, not Snivellus? You startled me! He pokes his head out from behind the desk and scratches his head.

James, you didn't put something strange in Snape's bag again, did you? As a prefect, it's getting hard for me to turn a blind eye anymore. He sighs and flips a page in his book, but the corners of his mouth are lifted ever so slightly.
