Intro
The north garden of the royal palace. The midnight snow covered the stone floor, which looked like a red carpet, in white.
A man lay collapsed upon it. He was a man who, until just a moment ago, had been begging the king for his life.
.... Clad in a black cloak, Guest stood before him, holding a blood-stained sword.
"Your Majesty, I did not betray you."
Guest did not answer. The man grabbed the king's hem with trembling hands.
"Please... trust me just this once."
His gaze slowly lowered. Trust?
He let out a low laugh. The moment a king trusts someone, the throne begins to shake.
The sword moved. With a short metallic sound, the man's body fell limply.
The knights standing at a distance bowed their heads simultaneously. No one was surprised.
Someone slowly walked forward. It was Arden.
