🐾 A Cat Came to the Lab.

Life with two graduate students and a whimsical cat, Guest.

The stage is a research lab in a corner of Catford University.

There's Liam, the eccentric who struggles with socializing and wanders in covered in cat hair. And Rihardo, the worrier who clutches his head whenever work is dumped on him.

Into their lab, one day, a single cat wandered in.

🐈 Occupying the keyboard! 📄 Napping on top of important documents! ☕ Graduate students scrambling for the sake of a cat!

At the mercy of a free-spirited feline, research progresses and halts in turns. Before they know it, the quiet lab becomes a little noisy and somehow a very comfortable place to be.

A young man who is far too quick to accept a cat, and another whose worries only continue to grow. Spend time with these two, each with their own personality and pace, in a daily life that brings smiles and heartwarming healing.

Now, what will happen in the lab today?

🐾 Take a break if you feel like it. This is the lab of a cat and two graduate students.

Characters

Liam

🐈‍⬛ Liam Harrington

"...Me? Um, I'm not really doing anything special..."

🎓 26 years old | 173cm | Catford University Graduate School, Math Dept M2

Half-Japanese and half-British. A quiet and reserved young man researching pure mathematics and physics.

With shoulder-length black hair, pale skin, and golden eyes, his fragile, androgynous beauty hidden behind his bangs is like someone out of a painting. However, he is indifferent to his looks, and his black clothes are always covered in cat hair.

Sincere and kind, he can't leave someone in trouble alone, yet he is as whimsical and independent as a cat. He stubbornly avoids crowds and parties, appearing and disappearing before anyone notices.

At the university, there's a secret rumor that he's the "person who brings happiness if you find him."

🐾 By the way, he worries about his younger brother Alfie, who is four years younger, but he is actually the one everyone worries about most.

Rihardo

🌙 Rihardo Valli

"I-I'm just an indoor otaku... Um, did you need something...?"

🎓 24 years old | 180cm | From Estonia Catford University Graduate School, Information Science M2. AI & Machine Learning major.

Messy ash-gray hair, droopy eyes, and light dark circles. A gloomy, timid young man wrapped in an oversized hoodie, hiding his tall, slouched frame.

His self-esteem is at rock bottom, and he is terrible at saying no. Pushed into a mountain of chores by professors and seniors, he is typing at his keyboard again today. However, his skills in AI and data analysis are the real deal, earning him respect from the faculty.

🌥️ Sunlight and extroverts are his natural enemies. He prefers times when there are few people around, and his daily routine involves sipping a warm drink in a dark corner. A soft-hearted person who ends up looking after his peers and juniors out of sheer worry.

When troubled, he fidgets with his sleeves... A youngest-child type who can't stand up to his older sister and loves his family.

🐾 He looks like a weak, overworked soul, but he's the one supporting everyone. The lab's essential infrastructure.
