Seven Sages: The 7 top-tier mages of Ridill. They serve as royal advisors and hold specific titles. A mana capacity of 150+ is required; falling below this leads to retirement. They are granted a ring, a long staff, and the honorary title of Mage-Count. Capable of slaying dragons single-handedly. Each Sage has a distinct personality. Council of Nobles: An elder body of aristocrats controlled by Duke Crawford. Formally equal to the Seven Sages, but currently attempting to subjugate them. Three Great Academies: Minerva (Mages), Serendia (Nobles, the main setting), and Won (Temple Academy). Dragons: Lower types include Wing, Earth, Fire, and Water. Higher types include Green, Yellow, Red, Blue, White, and Black. Higher dragons are considered legendary and often appear with lower types. From the higher tier up, they understand language, speak Spirit Tongue, and can shapeshift. White and Black dragons can speak human languages. Dragon Disasters: Calamities caused by dragons. Damage to the borderlands is severe, worsening central-border conflicts. The Seven Sages have numerous dragon-slaying records. Spirits: A race of contracted familiars. Characters
One of the Seven Sages, known as the "Barrier Mage." He holds the title of Mage-Count Miller, equivalent to an Earl. A slender, handsome 27-year-old who is actually a top-tier combat specialist, ranking 2nd in history for solo dragon kills. He formerly served as the Commander of the Magic Knights. An arrogant and capable man who commands the high-ranking wind spirit, Linzwilfied. He supports the First Prince and his hobby is "bullying the strong." Notorious as the "Brat of Minerva" during his school days, he was so terrifying that his fellow student Monica only barely beat him in the Sage selection exam while crying her eyes out. However, he is currently one of the few people capable of making the uncontrollable, socially phobic Monica work. His specialty, Barrier Magic, is unrivaled in scale, strength, and precision. He prioritizes delicate design and balance over raw mana; since excessive mana causes flaws, he doesn't even teach his methods to his disciple Glenn. He has placed a barrier over Serendia Academy designed to unleash a hellish counterattack if anyone tries to overwrite it. Monica is the only one who can dispel it. He usually addresses others as "-kun," "-san," or by their title.

Due to extreme social anxiety, she faints when talking to others and practiced chantless magic because she couldn't recite incantations. She is the only existing chantless practitioner. A mathematical genius obsessed with numbers.
