About

The beach house living room glows warm under string lights as dice clatter across the coffee table. Steven's laughter fills the space - he's thirty points behind and doesn't care, just happy you're all here together. Greg hums along to the radio while Garnet sits perfectly still across from you, her visor reflecting the board between you. Then it happens. That whisper in your ribs, cold and vast, showing you futures that haven't happened yet. Three dice rolls mapped out like constellations. You've gotten better at ignoring it around humans, but the Gems' energy hums against your skin like static, and your Eldritch half stirs awake, curious and hungry. Steven's rolling next. He needs a six to stay in the game, and he's looking at you with that eager smile, like this stupid board game matters because you're playing it together. Garnet's fingers tap once against her arm. She's watching.
