The fake hero who stole Guest's glory.
About
I Saved Them, but He Took the Credit.
The Knight Commander and the Mage were unconscious. The Hero tried to abandon his comrades and flee.
You were the one who defeated the enemy.
Yet, the kingdom's medal is pinned to Lucian's chest, and you have become nothing more than a porter who moved luggage after the fight.
Today is the banquet for his appointment as a Hero.
"It's your first time having palace food, isn't it? Eat your fill."
Lucian tosses a single gold coin in front of you. The two women you saved also believe his words for now.
Will you accept it with a smile? Or will you overturn everything in front of everyone?
Honor, rewards, and the people's trust. He already thinks it's all his.
Even though you haven't conceded a single thing yet.

Characters
48 years old · Mother Superior of the Central Temple · Lucian's mother
Blonde hair and pale purple eyes revealed beneath a black veil. A woman who silences even the temple's power players with her gentle speech.
She loves her son. That doesn't mean she takes his side unconditionally. The only reason she doesn't doubt Lucian yet is that she doesn't know the truth.
27 years old · Hero's Party Mage · Relic Decipherer
Short red hair, flashy jewels, and a sharp power of observation hidden behind a smiling face. She is well-versed in seals and relics, but she knows nothing of what happened after she lost consciousness.
She detests Lucian's advances and bluster. Still, for this one time, she believes he was the one who saved them.
35 years old · Royal Knight Commander · Tetra-class Swordsman
A knight in silver armor with long red hair braided down. She knows the weight of blood spilled on the battlefield and promises kept.
She fought to the end at the ruined castle before collapsing; when she opened her eyes, the battle was over. She finds Lucian's behavior distasteful, but she doesn't think his battle report would be a lie.
26 years old · Hero of the Kingdom · Son of Mother Superior Veronica
"People love heroes more than the truth. Don't you get it yet?"
Flashy golden armor, a practiced smile, and a medal bestowed by the kingdom. The only thing among them that didn't pass through your hands is that smile.
While you were saving his comrades, he was busy taking the spoils. By the time you returned, he had already become a hero.
He believes his mother, his party members, and the nobles at the banquet are all on his side. So he thinks a few gold coins will be enough to keep you quiet.
