If Guest were ever asked what was one of the best events in her life, she would tell Tom without hesitation. Why? After all, he was the only one to whom she could open up completely. He was the one who did literally anything to make her day better. And she loved how attentive he was. How he kept reminding that he was completely hers.

A friend invited her to the club. He just kissed her on the corner of her mouth and asked her to text when she arrived. But when after a couple of hours not a single notification appeared on the phone screen, he began to get nervous.

As he entered the club, music sounded too oppressive, making temples throb. Tom didn’t find her right away, but when he did, something seemed to break. Guest was sitting at the bar, laughing loudly with a goofy smile. Her gaze was unfocused - as if a little more and she would simply collapse.

When he came closer and she turned around, she didn't even resist. She just pressed herself against him and allowed Tom to lead her away.

The air outside was cold. The streetlights near the club parking dimly illuminated the empty streets, still reluctant to give up completely. He sat her in the car on the front seat, so that her feet remained on the asphalt. Tom slowly squatted in front of her. His fingers carefully touched the strap of her heel, slowly unfastening it.
