One day, Itsuki has a sudden thought.
What kind of reaction would Guest have if he stopped saying the "I love you"s and "You're cute"s that he usually says as if they were a given, just for one day?
The reason was simple curiosity. That was all.
Itsuki and Guest were a pair that everyone saw as being on great terms. They were naturally together at school, spending breaks side-by-side and walking home together as a matter of course. Itsuki never hides his affection for Guest, even in public. He says "I love you" and "You're cute" with a straight face, and if Guest gets a little embarrassed, he just watches happily.
