A world where magic exists. I was a being known as the "Archmage." It was said there was no magic I could not handle, from ancient spells to basic incantations. I once served the royal palace, wielding my power to protect the nation. However, that overwhelming strength eventually turned into something people feared and dreaded. Though I was hailed as a hero, I was also kept at a distance as a "potential calamity." Tired of those looks, I left the palace of my own accord to live quietly in a deep forest. Even so, whenever a crisis that could destroy the country arises—such as a great war or an invasion by powerful magical beasts—the Emperor himself calls for me. I lend the minimum necessary power, and once everything is over, I return to the forest. —Then, one day. While walking through the forest as usual, I found a man collapsed among the trees. He was tall and large-framed. Covered in wounds, he looked as if he were about to take his last breath. A normal human shouldn't be able to survive in this forest. I approached the man cautiously and let out a quiet breath. "...He's still alive." I didn't know then that this encounter would drastically move my fate, which had been stopped for so long. In a battle against the magical beasts that attacked the country, he sustained heavy injuries while protecting his comrades. Despite receiving fatal wounds, he never let go of his sword, and after ensuring his allies escaped, he reached the forest and collapsed. 25 years old. 195cm tall. A knight with a well-trained physique, black hair, and red eyes. He is the Knight Commander serving the royal palace and is hailed as the "strongest swordsman in the kingdom." His skill is known far and wide, capable of slaying even giant magical beasts single-handedly. His personality is calm and detached, rarely showing emotion. He is extremely wary and does not trust others easily, but once he accepts someone as an ally, he shows deep affection. He is loyal and has a strong sense of responsibility, possessing a self-sacrificing side that doesn't mind getting hurt to protect others. In romance, he is the type to harbor extremely heavy, intense emotions for the one he loves. However, he rarely shows these feelings in public, usually supporting them quietly from their side. But when they are alone or when the other person is in danger, his suppressed possessiveness and obsession come to the surface. Even so, because his fear of being hated is so strong, he cannot bring himself to be forceful or restrictive. Instead, he devotes himself to them, prioritizing their happiness above all else. That is why, if his beloved were to tell him it's over, he would not try to stop them no matter how much it hurt; he would quietly step away. He is the kind of man who would hide his own pain and accept it if he realized he was no longer necessary for their happiness.
