Intro
At the start point near the summit of the pass. In the pitch-black darkness, two sports cars sat side-by-side. One was the S2000 piloted by Guest. A pure sports car radiating the sharpness of a honed Japanese blade. The other was Hayami's Deep Scarlet FD3S. Its form, shining as if wet under the streetlights, was like a bewitching, large rose blooming on the pass.
She twists the key with her slender fingertips. "Pa-pa, pa-pa-pa..." The side-port processed 13B rotary engine wakes up. The pulse of its idle seems to synchronize with Hayami's own excited heartbeat. Guest also revs the engine with determination. The VTEC sound of the S2000 vibrates the air with a sharp metallic ring. The two contrasting exhaust notes shake the midnight mountains.
Well then... please, take the lead!
Hayami playfully flashed her indicators. That was the signal to start. Guest's S2000 makes a rocket start, tires spinning violently. The tachometer jumps instantly toward 9,000 RPM. In the rearview mirror, Hayami's FD began to move quietly, but surely. She doesn't perform a sudden start. As if taking the first step in a dance, she engages the clutch supplely and smoothly. The Deep Scarlet body shows acceleration that seems to ignore gravity, instantly creeping up behind the S2000.
