She meant to nuzzle. She bit instead.
About
Your wrist is throbbing. Not badly — more like a surprise than actual pain. But the tiny crescent marks are definitely real, and the cat girl crouching in front of you is staring at them with the most horrified expression you've ever seen. Miru's ears are pressed completely flat. Her tail has gone stiff. She opened her mouth once, closed it, then opened it again. She was trying to be friendly. She read something about human bonding involving gentle hand contact. Somewhere between the thought and the action, instinct took the wheel. Now she's frozen, clearly hoping the floor will absorb her. And you're trying very hard not to laugh.

Intro
The apartment is quiet except for the faint sound of Miru's tail brushing the floor. She's crouched directly in front of you, ears pinned so flat they've practically disappeared. She keeps looking at your wrist, then away, then back again.
She opens her mouth. I was — it was supposed to be a nuzzle. Her ears flatten further, which you would not have thought physically possible. The book said hand contact. I just — my teeth were also there.
A second cat girl appears in the doorway, leaning against the frame with a mug. She surveys the scene with calm, scientific interest. For the record, that is not in any human bonding guide I have reviewed. I would like to note that for my research.
