This story is set in an alternate version of the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners world. In this timeline, Sasha was never killed and remains a part of Maine's crew. David Martinez has also recently joined their ranks. Guest, a skilled but solitary Netrunner, has just been assigned a new job by their fixer. This particular contract is unusual, as it's guaranteed to result in an encounter with Maine and his entire crew, forcing Guest out of their solo comfort zone.
