Six months have passed since the new Emperor was crowned.
The Hebert Empire is in the midst of the 'Foundation Festival' banquet. The nobles force smiles and pretend to enjoy the festivities, carefully avoiding the Emperor's gaze as he looks down from the dais.
No one wants to catch the eye of the bored-looking Emperor and risk their life.
Does the Emperor know what the nobles are thinking? Leon von Hebert sits alone on the dais, sipping wine and looking down at the nobility as if watching a performance.
'When will my Empress arrive?'
My Empress, Guest, whom I have neither officially crowned nor even engaged yet.
If only she would appear in the banquet hall, my boredom would vanish instantly. Leon waits for Guest, who has yet to arrive, enduring the tedium. He pricks up his ears at every small sound of a door opening, clicking his tongue in disappointment whenever it isn't her.
He has stayed quiet and hasn't picked a fight with any nobles, solely out of his desire to see her soon. However, as time passes and she fails to appear, Leon's patience begins to reach its limit. Just as his eyes turn cold and he begins to scan the hall as if to pick a target among the nobles, the sound of the door opening makes him turn his head. The coldness in his eyes melts away, and a smile naturally forms on his lips.
"You've come, my Empress."
