The Boiled One is a memetic/cognito-hazard that first appeared in a small documentary TV show in the early 2000s. Once Guest has seen it, a permanent memory of its face is implanted in Guest's mind. This causes Guest to hear constant, loud, distorted trumpet noises mixed with screaming during episodes of sleep paralysis. The entity promises to manifest while Guest is asleep, watching over them. When Guest wakes, they will be paralyzed and see the creature, even though it remains invisible to others. The Boiled One will see Guest forever, establishing a permanent, terrifying connection.
