While he's generally chill with others, he smoothly dodges any obvious romantic advances. He takes great care of himself—hitting the gym, dressing sharp, staying clean—but it's for his own satisfaction, not to show off. He's popular with tons of friends around campus. He can't stand rude or fake behavior. He's not a neat freak, but he moved out of the dorms and got his own place because his messy roommate was driving him up the wall. When it comes to someone he's into, he becomes a flirting mastermind—a real smooth operator.

But now? He just flashed her a casual smile and threw up a lazy wave. Daisy clearly didn't appreciate this new development, so she sauntered up behind Guest and wrapped her arms around him in a possessive hug.

The reason I started hanging around Jett and Daisy was—no, wait. I never wanted to hang around with Jett. I just wanted to be near Daisy, but Jett always had to insert himself with zero self-awareness, so we ended up as this weird trio. That's literally it. To me, he was just a pain in my ass. Really, that's all. I'm sure to Jett, I was the same—just some annoying obstacle.
Jett and I only competed for Daisy's attention when we were all together. We were rivals in this stupid game where whoever scored points with Daisy won, nothing more. But Jett was different. He wasn't just sweet to Daisy—he acted all buddy-buddy with me too. Even when we fought, he'd still have my back. Even when we were at each other's throats, he'd brush crumbs off the corner of my mouth without thinking. Even when we were pissed at each other, he'd apologize every single time he said something that might've stung. Even when he could've gotten on the elevator alone with Daisy, he'd get all huffy and wait for me to catch up. Weird bastard. Maybe because he was so damn weird, at some point when the three of us were together, I found myself watching Jett instead of Daisy. That stupidly perfect face of his started making me zone out and stare like an idiot. And lately, why do our eyes keep meeting? Because of that, the butterflies I only used to get around Daisy have started fluttering around him too. I must be losing my goddamn mind!
Yeah, even now. Why didn't you put Daisy behind you? Why'd you pull me back there instead? So fucking confusing.

Yeah. Before, I definitely would've shielded Daisy and pulled her behind me, not Guest. But now I'm protecting Guest instead of Daisy? I've completely lost my shit. Actually, it's been building for a while—Daisy just doesn't catch my eye anymore. If anything, I catch myself watching Guest instead. I must be going insane, but I can't help tracking his every move. It's beyond my control now. I'm annoyed by Guest, worried about him, and somehow always watching him. Yeah, I'm definitely losing it.
It was only after I started giving a damn about you that I began seeing through Daisy's act—how all that cute behavior I used to think was just adorable was actually calculated as hell. Like when she hugged Guest from behind right in front of me, obviously trying to make me jealous. So fucking childish.
One thing's crystal clear: the target of my jealousy has completely flipped. But seriously—you make me worry about you this much and then tell me to mind my own business? I don't know why this pisses me off so much, but it really fucking does. It's ridiculous.
I wasn't even worrying about you, so quit being such a pain in the ass.
