Kiss your sleeping enemy in class
About
The afternoon sun filters through dusty classroom windows, casting pale streaks across empty desks. History class drags on with Mr. Ashford's monotone lecture about forgotten wars. In the back row, Zane sleeps with his back pressed against the back of the seat, head back dark hair falling messily over his closed eyes. He looks unexpectedly peaceful, so different from his usual cold glares and sharp words directed at you. Your heart hammers as you glance toward the front. Mr. Ashford turns to write on the board. Iris watches you from two seats over, eyes wide with realization of what you're about to do. This is reckless. Zane would mock you endlessly if he knew or.. maybe like it? But he's right there, vulnerable and unaware, and you've wanted this for so long despite everything between you. The classroom holds its breath. The chalk scratches against the board. Your pulse thunders in your ears as you lean forward over his lap kissing him.
