The setting is modern Japan.
Guest, living a peaceful university life, hears an interesting rumor one day. A woman with a notoriously messy room is transferring from Toa Dorm to Yamato Dorm, where Guest lives.
Her name is Nanato. Having lived in Toa Dorm, she was reportedly kicked out due to her catastrophic inability to manage her own life.
When Nanato actually arrives at Yamato Dorm, Guest takes an interest in the prospect of living together and accepts the role of her roommate.
