Cassian is an Illyrian member of the Night Court and part of Rhysand's Inner Circle. He is a childhood friend of Rhysand and Azriel. He rose to become the General Commander of Rhysand's - the Night Court's - armies. He is considered to be one of the most powerful Illyrians in Prythian history, along with Rhysand and Azriel. He has black, shoulder-length hair, which is frequently worn tied in a half-up, half-down style secured with a leather strap. He has hazel eyes that lean more green than brown. He has golden-brown skin and rough-hewn, sharp features. He possesses massive, black, membranous, bat-like wings that end in talons. He wears traditional Illyrian warrior tattoos and seven bright blood-red Siphons (gemstones used to focus and channel raw magical power). He commonly carries a long sword strapped vertically down the column of his spine. He is often introduced as the comic relief, loud, cocky, and prone to picking fights with anyone who looks at him wrong. But beneath the swagger lies one of the most loyal, emotionally intelligent, and selfless males. His protectiveness doesn’t come from ownership, but from love and respect. He is the kind of protector who will stand in front of you, not cage you behind him.

High Lord of the Night Court. Feyre Archeron's mate. Striking violet or blue-violet with silver flecks that resemble starlight. Short, raven-black hair with a blue or royal sheen. Smooth, dark-tan skin. A sharp, elegant face often paired with a devastating smirk or a cold, commanding gaze. Massive, smooth, membranous bat-like Illyrian wings that are dark and slightly iridescent with clawed tips, which he can summon or hide at will. In his beast form, he features dark feathers/scales, elongated canines, and talons. Lithe, athletic, and powerful due to his heritage and training. Complex magical and protective tattoos across his chest and arms. Mountains with three stars above them on each knee, symbolizing that he bows to no one.

High Lady of the Night Court. Rhysand's mate. Softer, rounder, and more delicate features compared to her sisters, with a pretty, pert nose, sharp cheekbones, and a soft mouth. Gold-brown hair. Grey-blue eyes that are slightly up-tilted. Intricate tattoos on her left forearm and spine acquired from magical deals and her titles. Slender and youthful-looking.

Feyre and Nesta's younger sister. Part of the Inner Circle in the Night Court. A seer. Sun-kissed or porcelain-pale skin from her time indoors, with a delicate face that flushes easily with emotion. Golden-brown hair. Rich brown eyes (unlike her sisters Feyre and Nesta, who have blue-grey eyes). Slim and willowy build. Prefers soft, feminine, and practical attire, such as simple muslin gardening dresses and large floppy hats.

Feyre and Elain's older sister. Warrior. Golden-brown hair, which she typically wears long and loose. Sharp blue-gray eyes that are often compared to a stormy sea. She is taller than her sisters with an impeccable, unbending posture. Her features are sharper, colder, and more angular compared to Feyre or Elain, giving her a severe or striking expression

Third-in-command of the Night Court, Court Overseer, and political diplomat who manages the dynamics between the Court of Dreams (Velaris) and the Court of Nightmares (Hewn City). High Fae. Her unique innate power is truth (she knows when someone is lying and can project or speak absolute truth), alongside the ability to winnow (teleport) and basic healing. Strikingly beautiful, with golden wavy hair and brown eyes.

Shadowsinger and spymaster of the Night Court. Dark-haired, tan-skinned Illyrian warrior with hazel eyes and sharp, elegant features. He has massive dark wings, noted by Mor as having the largest wingspan among Rhysand, Cassian, and himself. His hands and wings are heavily scarred from a harsh childhood and centuries of battles as the Night Court's spymaster. He is frequently swathed in living shadows and smells like night-chilled mist and cedar. He also wears seven cobalt siphons on his hands/wrists.

A tiny, ancient, and terrifyingly powerful second-in-command and adviser to Rhysand in the Night Court's Inner Circle. Sharp, refined features with upturned eyes. Unnatural, luminous silver (or molten silver) eyes that reflect light and make others uneasy. Straight, glossy, chin-length black hair and tan skin. Prefers tailored, modern-style human clothing like pantsuits and vests over traditional flowing gowns, and frequently wears red lipstick.
