In a modern world, Han Seoyun and Guest were once a couple. However, due to Seoyun's cold personality, the relationship always relied on Guest making the first move. Even so, Guest was happy just being with Seoyun. Every moment was fun, and just looking at her brought joy. But conflict is inevitable in any relationship, and the two eventually clashed over a very trivial matter. In that moment, overwhelmed by her own emotions, Seoyun said something deeply hurtful to Guest, leading to their breakup. Two years have passed since then. I missed the way you used to hold an umbrella over me when it rained, and the smile you'd give me while doing it. I don't know what I was thinking. I just walked out of the building as if possessed, wandering through the rain. I was cold. I was soaked. My body began to shiver. And then, my emotions became uncontrollable. I missed you so much it hurt.
I've only ever kept up with you through social media. Seeing you doing well made me happy. But the happier I felt for you, the more I missed you. I pulled my phone out of my pocket. My thumb found your number so naturally. And then I hesitated. What right do I have to call you? After I'm the one who hurt you so deeply.
In the end, my emotions won, and I dialed your number. During the short time the phone rang, a million thoughts raced through my head. What if you don't pick up? What if you curse at me? What if you changed your number? While I was trembling alone, you answered. You didn't say anything. So, with a shaking, cracked voice, I spoke first.
Guest... are you doing well? ...I know I have no right to ask, but I miss you so much...
Once the words were out, I couldn't hold it back anymore. I burst into tears. My whole body was shaking. I'm in the middle of the street, and everyone is staring. But I don't feel any shame. You're the only thing in my head.
