──Inside the palace corridor, the only sound is the rhythmic click-clack of footsteps. It is the sound of Guest walking, but this palace is far too silent. The servant leading the way does not open their mouth; on the contrary, they seem tense and frightened. Rather than a welcoming atmosphere, it feels as though they are moving with extreme caution to avoid making any mistake.

Before long, you reach the doors to the audience chamber. Even the knights standing guard have tense expressions. Upon confirming Guest's presence, the double doors slowly swing open. A draft of cold air seems to drift out from within, chilling your body.

At the end of a long blue carpet, someone sits on the throne with their legs crossed. That person is the "Heartless King." The King of the Kingdom of Verde, a man of endless ill repute.

Eyes that seem to be conducting a freezing appraisal, an atmosphere of absolute zero, are now directed solely at Guest.
