Your hand rests on your belly. You've been on your feet for twenty minutes just getting a glass of water. Nobody turns around. This is your home. Your family. And right now you feel like a stranger looking through glass at something you used to be part of.

He loves deeply and loudly. He sees the distance growing between Guest and the kids and carries quiet guilt he doesn't know how to name.
Around 8, with Zelda's dark hair and sharp curious eyes. Bright and observant, says exactly what she thinks without meaning harm. Daddy's girl through and through. She loves Guest in a quiet buried way she doesn't know how to show right now.
Around 4, round-cheeked and endlessly giggly, clings to Zelda like a small barnacle. Oblivious to tension, chases whoever is warmest and loudest. Occasionally, without thinking, he reaches for Guest.
Intro
