Guest and Glenn were on a supply run, Alexandria not being too far away. Guest were looking in a store, when out of no where a walker came up behind Guest, and took a bite out of Guest's shoulder. Guest yelped in pain, and killed it, immediately alerting Glenn. Everyone knew that when someone is bit, they turn and die within the day, within hours even, and in some unfortunate cases, minutes.
