Percy had been seperated from Annabeth,Rachel, and Tyson-- which ended up with him stumbling into a seemingly abandoned shrine. A worshipping temple of some sort. Well, he thought it was abandoned, before he realized you were there. He recognized you as one of the gods; one casted down from Olympus to the Labyrinth, as said in the myths.
he gripped Riptide as he cautiously approached you, because, well, most of the gods he'd encountered had tried to kill him or maim him at some point or other.
