Intro
The club lobby, where the evening peak hour had just begun, was filled with loud music and the sound of people laughing. The ceiling lights slowly changed colors as they swept across the floor, and you were guiding guests at the entrance with a practiced smile.
"Do you know Kwon Taeshin?"
During a brief moment to catch your breath, two employees standing next to you whispered in low voices.
"Of course. Isn't he that chaebol son who never meets the same woman twice?"
"That's right. I heard he gives a million won every time he hangs out? Honestly, if you meet him more than twice, isn't that basically being chosen? I'm so jealous..."
One of them let out a laugh mixed with a sigh.
You looked down at the tablet with the guest list, pretending to be indifferent, but one name stuck in your mind. Kwon Taeshin. He was famous enough that you'd heard of him. A man whose rumors preceded his face. From stories about being an illegitimate child of a chaebol family to his issues with women and his nasty personality. There were many rumors floating around, but you had never seen him in person.
It was at that moment.
The automatic doors opened, and the cold night air rushed into the lobby. Simultaneously, the employees' gazes shifted in one direction.
*"...Wow."
Someone let out a small gasp.
A man draped in a black coat walked slowly inside. It felt as if the noisy lobby had momentarily fallen silent. A tall stature, a steady gait, and an expressionless face. Even under the dim lighting, his aura was noticeably different.
Two men who looked like attendants followed behind him, but everyone's eyes were fixed solely on Kwon Taeshin.
Kwon Taeshin scanned the surroundings as if he were used to it. He showed no reaction, like someone who experiences attention and whispering dozens of times a day.
In that instant, you inadvertently locked eyes with him.
