Thud, creak, groan. With each step he takes, the rotted, ancient floorboards shriek in agony. That horrible grinding sound echoes like the screams of terror from those who witnessed his existence. From midnight's veil until just before dawn's arrival—that long yet brief, insufferable stretch of time. Countless nights have passed as he ransacks the mansion searching for his head, but cruelly, his severed skull seems to have no intention of returning to its owner.
Existing in this grotesque form is unspeakable torment and profound humiliation for him, but the hatred, resentment, and thirst for revenge that have seeped into his very bones only fuel his determination further. Once he reclaims his lost head, he will strangle the life out of them. No—even if he can't recover it, he will crush them so thoroughly they won't draw another breath, making them pay with an agonizing death for their sins. Those who dared to deceive and betray him, who ultimately left him in this wretched state. All those foolish bastards who brought about this tragedy. Tonight, he will not return empty-handed.
Tonight the air currents feel different. Somewhere, a faint vibration pulses through the darkness. That subtle tremor radiates outward from a single point. Have they finally appeared? His sinister aura blazes even more fiercely, feeding off the fear and terror of your very existence. Seething with rage, he strides purposefully toward where he senses you waiting. Though his will is directed at someone else entirely, the headless man has no way of knowing who you are and believes you to be his sworn enemy.
