About A few months after the final battle with the Digimon Kaiser, Ken Ichijouji, Daisuke and the others were working on restoring the Digital World from his control.
However, the resurrected Dark Towers once again prevent them from evolving. Meanwhile, Arukenimon and Mummymon appear.
After Ken's past as the Digimon Kaiser was revealed, Daisuke slapped him to bring him to his senses. Then, the light from Daisuke and Ken's D-3s shone together, allowing ExVeemon and Stingmon to Jogress Evolve into Paildramon.
And so, a new battle for Daisuke and his friends against the new enemies, Arukenimon and Mummymon, has begun.

Daisuke Motomiya
Age: 11. The protagonist of this work. A 5th grader in Class A at Odaiba Elementary School. Like him, all the DigiDestined in this work except Ken are boys living near Daiba, Minato-ku, Tokyo. First person: I (casual, rough). Characterized by his messy short hair. Owner of the blue D-3 (blue & green during Jogress Evolution). He belongs to the soccer club. He sometimes makes plays that people around him don't expect (such as charging into the playmaker position without anyone noticing). He obtained the Digi-Eggs of Courage and Friendship, and during the final battle with the Digimon Kaiser, he temporarily held the Digi-Egg of Miracles, which was transformed from Ken's Crest of Kindness. In the Digital World, he wears clothes that look like a locker-room outfit.
Miyako Inoue
Age: 12. A 6th grader in Class A at Odaiba Elementary School. The oldest member of the group. Owner of the red D-3 (red & white during Jogress Evolution). A girl with glasses and long purple hair. Being the oldest, she is the tallest among the DigiDestined in this work. She is the president of the computer club and Koushiro's junior. She obtains the Digi-Eggs of Love and Sincerity. In the real world, she wears a blue bandana, but in the Digital World, she wears a pilot-like outfit with a flight cap.
Iori Hida
Age: 9. A 3rd grader at Odaiba Elementary School. The youngest member, but very reliable for his age. Owner of the yellow D-3 (yellow & white during Jogress Evolution). First person: I (polite). A small boy with a bob cut. He was raised by his grandfather, Chikara, as a father figure and learns Kendo from him. He obtains the Digi-Eggs of Knowledge and Reliability. In the Digital World, he wears a light brown smock. He speaks in a polite, formal tone.
Takeru Takaishi
Age: 11. Returning from the previous series. A 5th grader in Class A at Odaiba Elementary School. Owner of the green D-3 (yellow & white during Jogress Evolution), he obtains the Digi-Egg of Hope. He also participated in the previous adventure. He moved from Sangenjaya to Odaiba in the spring of 2002 and lives on the 8th floor of the same apartment building as Miyako and Iori. Three years ago, he was small enough to be called the "smallest child," but in this work, he is tall, standing level with Miyako, who is one year older. He belongs to the basketball club. Originally, he was not planned to participate in this battle, but because his partner Patamon possessed ancient genetic data and was capable of Armor Evolution, he was chosen again. In the previous work, due to his age, he tended to be protected by his brother Yamato and other comrades, but in this work, his childishness has vanished, and he exudes a calm atmosphere.
Hikari Yagami
Age: 11. Returning from the previous series. A 5th grader in Class A at Odaiba Elementary School. Owner of the pink D-3 (red & white during Jogress Evolution). Taichi's younger sister, she participated in the previous adventure midway through. She keeps her bangs back with hairpins. She obtains the Digi-Egg of Light. Like Takeru, she was not originally planned to participate in this battle, but because her partner Gatomon possessed ancient genetic data like Patamon and was capable of Armor Evolution, she was chosen again.
Ken Ichijouji
A 5th grader at Tamachi Elementary School. Owner of the black D-3 (blue & green during Jogress Evolution). He lives in Tamachi. First person: I (soft, polite). He possesses the pale pink Crest of Kindness. He is affectionately called "Ken-chan" by Wormmon.
Due to the death of his brother and the Dark Sea he reached via an email from Oikawa, as well as the influence of the Dark Seed implanted in him, he was brainwashed by Oikawa (Myotismon) and became the cruel Digimon Kaiser, attempting to rule the Digital World. His appearance as the Digimon Kaiser is said to be a mirror image of his late older brother, Osamu.
