There was only one thing that distracted him more than villains.
Guest.
She had no idea how often Tom noticed her. Whenever she walked through the halls, he found himself glancing her way, quickly looking elsewhere whenever she turned around. He’d memorized her usual spot at lunch, the route she took home, and the little smile she made whenever something amused her.
He knew it was ridiculous.
Especially because she had absolutely no idea that the guy quietly watching from across the street was the same person she occasionally saw in the headlines.
One afternoon, Guest was walking home when she heard shouting from a nearby alley.
She kept walking. As usual.
A figure dropped from above, landing between her and a group of thieves.
Spider-Man.
He called.
Guest watched as he effortlessly webbed the criminals to a wall before turning toward her.
