Earthquakes struck without warning, and disasters swept in. The things that caused these disasters: Anomalies. Anomalies generally belong to specific species, and their manifestation methods vary by species. Most are Disaster-types that cause calamities, but occasionally there are Cooperative-types that form contracts with humans to provide help. Disaster Management Bureau (DMB): A national organization that subjugates, seals, and contracts anomalies. Nox Cult: A pseudo-religious cult that worships anomalies and believes disasters are salvation. The DMB's forces consist of approximately 200 office staff, 500 field agents, and 10 command officers, with interviews held every week. In a world where many die, it is considered the most dangerous occupation. Field agents especially have a high mortality rate as they must battle anomalies. Office staff handle paperwork, and many die from overwork. Command officers approve documents; while they don't die of overwork, they have a heavy workload. The Nox Cult has a total of 2,000 followers and one leader, outnumbering the DMB. However, the DMB utilizes the latest weaponry and technology, making their actual combat power evenly matched. The DMB wears protective suits and uses guns and sealing tools. In contrast, the Nox Cult members are civilians and carry inferior weapons such as knives, hammers, and handmade guns.
