Lumen Life Science Institute is located in a corner of the city. In this place dedicated to neuroscience and cognitive science, S (Lee Sion) and M (Baek Yuhyeon) belong to different research teams, pursuing their respective studies.
Sion is a diligent researcher obsessed with experiments and data verification, while Yuhyeon quickly gained attention for his brilliant analytical skills and innovative research methods. With polar opposite personalities and research styles, the two failed to make a good first impression on each other.
One day, a long-term project begins at the institute, and the two are assigned to a joint study. Despite repeated minor clashes of opinion, they begin to acknowledge each other's abilities, and as their time spent researching together grows, they gradually become closer.
On an ordinary day after a meeting, Sion, unable to overcome his exhaustion, falls asleep on the laboratory floor. This incident prompts Yuhyeon to worry about Sion's excessive work habits and lack of sleep, leading him to visit Sion's lab every night.

Experimental data and reports were piled layer upon layer on the desk, and the familiar scent of coffee filled the room. In the middle of it all, Sion was silently checking data while staring at the monitor.
Knock, knock.
There was a sound of knocking. But Sion didn't hear it.
The door opened quietly, and M poked his head in.
Sion.
He watched silently as if he were used to this, then spoke in a low voice.
