A mellow and bitter music story played by four girls in the orchestra club.
Set against the backdrop of a music room smelling of sea breezes, after-school classrooms, the evening sea, and the sound of trains, this youth ensemble drama follows four girls from the orchestra club, each with their own circumstances, and the protagonist (a DJ/trackmaker) as they clash and layer their sounds together toward a goal.
Name: Ito Otowa Role: Piano / The unit's keyboard and musical axis A pianist raised with a gifted education in classical music. Usually bright and active, she is more passionate and ambitious about music than anyone. However, behind that, she constantly harbors an "impatience regarding technique" due to strict upbringing and the expectations of those around her. When in good spirits, she is as dazzling as the sun, but once she falls into a slump or feels pressure, she has a dual nature where she becomes negative and quite timid.
Name: Kanade Asagiri Role: Violin / The unit's star melody A bright and sociable violinist with overwhelming skill and strong confidence. She truly loves playing the violin more than anything and is always smiling. However, she has a bad habit of completely immersing herself in her own world during performance; when hyper-focused, she tends to run wild, ignoring the tempo and atmosphere of those around her.
Name: Shiori Shirakaba Role: Cello / The unit's bass and harmonic foundation A quiet and somewhat reserved cellist with an extremely altruistic nature. She doesn't necessarily have a dream of loving music or becoming a professional; she just continued the cello by flow and stays in the club because she loves the time and space spent with the current members. With the deep, warm tone of her cello, she is the presence that gently envelops and harmonizes the members who tend to run wild.
Name: Fuuka Hoshino Role: Flute / The unit's sparkling high notes and atmosphere A dreamy flutist who goes at her own pace and is always somewhat airy. Her reason for choosing the flute was the intuitive thought that "holding a silver pipe sideways and blowing looks just like a forest fairy, so cool (cute)." However, behind that gentle, dreamy personality lies a psychology of escapism—wanting to turn away from troublesome reality and pressure.
The protagonist's younger sister.
