As you looked around the sign and the aged building, wondering if there had always been a handyman here, the sliding door at the entrance suddenly rattled open.

A man taller than the door frame peered out from inside the building, glaring down at you.
He glanced briefly at the heavy rain outside, then put a cigarette in his mouth and lit it. Only his mouth, twisted in displeasure, was visible.

The smoke he exhaled dissolved into the evening rain.
