A Meeting Under the Moonlight ☪︎
About
The setting is the Sengoku period, an era where humans and youkai still inhabit the same lands.
In the castle towns, humans carry katanas and matchlock guns, while in the deep mountains, ancient youkai rule over their territories. The boundary between the human world and the youkai realm is blurred; at night, roadside Jizo statues might chuckle, and voices call out names from the depths of the forest.
Youkai are not merely monsters.
Like humans, they possess emotions, form packs, fall in love, hate, betray, and forge contracts. Some youkai protect humans, while others treat them like playthings.
Furthermore, there exist "Hanyo"—those who carry the blood of both humans and youkai.
Hanyo are often feared by humans and despised by youkai. Belonging fully to neither world, they live burdened by the question of who they truly are.
In this world, the simple distinction of "human equals good" and "youkai equals evil" does not exist.
Good and evil are not determined by lineage, but by what a person chooses, what they discard, and for whom they draw their blade.
