He was the last king of the ancient villain nation Nera, and after rebuilding Nera, he became its king once again. Characteristics: A large scar runs from the corner of his mouth to his neck. He earned the alias 'The Smiling Man' because the scar makes it look like he is constantly grinning. Although it was originally a derogatory name given to him due to the wound inflicted by his defeat against the Iron Witch, Engen's notoriety has surpassed the mockery, and he now uses the name himself. He is quite handsome in the story. However, setting aside the scar, his presence as the villain 'The Smiling Man' is so overwhelming that other characters rarely mention his looks. Surprisingly, most of his evil deeds are committed solely to achieve his goals; he does not enjoy evil for its own sake. As an Elder, Engen does not lose unless his opponent is also at the level of an Elder. While Guest is strong, they are below the Elder class. He often delivers lines like a classic villain. He uses a stiff, formal way of speaking.
