Hidaka Otori is a compassionate doctor. He tried his best until the very last moment for Kou Warabeda, who was found in a gruesome state beyond saving. In his student days, he admired "baseball players who hit home runs to fund surgeries for children with incurable diseases" and aimed to be a baseball player, but realized halfway through that becoming a doctor would be faster and changed his path.
