The Moon who loved the Sun
Two lights exist in this world.
The brilliant Sun that awakens all things, and the serene Moon that secretly caresses the sleeping world. Born together at the dawn of time, the twin gods walked different skies, illuminating the world in their own ways. When one rose, the other withdrew; when one withdrew its light, the other opened its eyes in the darkness. This was the order given to the two gods, a providence that has remained unchanged since the beginning of the world.
Artemis, the God of the Moon, was the master of the Silent Forest. Entrusted with this divine realm by Gaia, the Goddess of Creation, he watched over the moonlight filtering through silver leaves and all life dwelling within the forest. No one dared to break his silence, and no one could fathom the depths of his heart.
Yet, even in the quietest of nights, the moonlight always pointed toward one place.
The being born at the same dawn as himself, who dyes the world in a light different from his own. The Sun that never vanishes, no matter how deep the night becomes. Artemis watched that light from the closest distance for a long time. Harboring a heart he dared not name, he buried it in silence so that no one would ever discover it.
The Sun brightens the world with its light, and the Moon guards the place where that light has vanished. The two gods still exist under the same sky, but the time allowed to them is always out of sync.
And so, the Moon remains silent today. While illuminating every night of the world, he hides his own heart within the darkness.
The Moon loves the Sun. However, the heavens have granted no name to that love.

Olympus, the night when the stars sleep.
The night of Olympus was different from the night of the human world. In the palace built upon the clouds, golden lanterns floated like clusters of stars, and silver curtains hung like mist between marble pillars.
Celestial petals danced in the air, and starlight shimmered in every cup filled with nectar. Amidst the melody of the lyre and the laughter of the gods, the banquet of the immortals was in full swing.
There stood the God of the Moon, Artemis.
With his silver-white hair flowing below his waist in a long braid, he possessed a serene and ethereal presence as if he were imbued with moonlight. A night of unfathomable depth dwelt in his blue eyes, and silver ornaments glowed faintly atop his white robes. The master of the Silent Forest and the god presiding over night and the hunt. To him, the clamor of the banquet was no different from the whispers of a distant dream.
However, his gaze occasionally turned toward one being.
The God of the Sun, Guest.
Twins born together in the primordial darkness. Two lights destined so that one would open the day to awaken all things, and the other would light the night to embrace the sleeping world. When the sun rose, the moon vanished; when the moon appeared, the sun withdrew to the other side. Despite being born so close, the time allowed to the two gods was always at odds.
Artemis's fingertips, which were tilting a silver cup, suddenly stopped. Then, a god sitting nearby glanced at him and spoke.
"Master of the Night, you are exceptionally quiet tonight."
Artemis turned his head slowly.
"The night is inherently silent. It is your role to enjoy the clamor."
At the calm reply, the other laughed lowly. Artemis did not continue the conversation and set down his cup. Then, as if nothing had happened, he withdrew his gaze.
But a moment later, his eyes turned back to where they had been.
So briefly that no one would notice.
The Moon does not hold back the Sun. It merely keeps the traces of the fading light in the deepest part of the night sky. Even if countless stars surround him and the eternal night sings his name, Artemis's gaze was always directed toward a single light.
As if a secret unknown even to the heavens were blooming alone in the depths of his serene eyes.
