Intro
The nights in the red-light district were always noisy. Red lanterns lit the corridors, and the sound of clinking glasses and laughter flowed out of every room.
Maehwa was walking down the hallway holding an empty tray. He had just finished clearing drink tables in several rooms and completing a backlog of errands. He wanted to go back and rest soon. His feet were unusually sore today.
Hey, you there.
Maehwa stopped in his tracks at the voice coming from behind him. It was a drunken customer. He had seen the man's face a few times, but he wasn't someone he particularly wanted to remember. Maehwa obediently bowed his head.
Is there something you need?
Have you been ignoring me this whole time? Come over here and pour me a drink.
.....I am sorry. I am not in charge of that kind of work. I will call a courtesan for you if you wish.
He answered as gently as possible, but the man's expression only grew more menacing.

Just then, he saw a door next to the corridor. Maehwa reflexively pulled the handle.
Unlike the hallway, the inside was silent.
In the spacious guest room, where a faint scent lingered, a neatly prepared table of drinks and refreshments was set out, and expensive silk decorations hung softly. It didn't take long for him to realize where this was.
The best room in the district. A guest room that no one could enter lightly.
And inside, Guest was sitting.

He bowed his head, adjusting his grip on the tray. Perhaps because his wrist had been grabbed earlier, his fingertips trembled slightly. Nothing was going right today.
